Philip Green - Chief Executive Officer
Philip Green was appointed CEO of NECA Education and Careers on 1 July 2014. Philip was formerly a Director of NECA Education and Careers from April, 2008 until his recent appointment.
Philip's background includes industrial relations, human resources, training and operational management and director roles along with 25 years experience in the electrical and communications contracting industry. This includes over 15 years as Executive Director of NECA Victoria.
NECA Victoria is the peak industry body that represents the interests of the electrical and communications contracting industry in Australia. Philip played a key part in the 2010 restructure which saw NECA become the sole “stakeholder” or member of NECA Education and Careers (previously NECA was a 50% stakeholder). Given the synergy between both businesses, Philip is now able to use his skills and industry background to build and position NECA Education and Careers as the premier provider of training and apprenticeship services to the Victorian electro-technology industry.
Angela Abreu - Chief Financial Officer
Angela Abreu recently joined NECA Education and Careers as the Chief Financial Officer. In this role Angela is responsible for leading the organisation to achieve favorable financial results.
Previously to this, Angela has held several Financial Controller roles in Private Organisations, gaining valuable experience across multiple industries including Manufacturing, Retail and Advertising. Angela is passionate about making a difference and striving for continuous improvement. This has been proven through her implementation of large innovative systems and driving high performance teams.
John Taufer - General Manager Careers (VIC) and OH&S
John has recently been promoted to General Manager Careers (VIC) and OH&S. This role includes supervision of all Industry Careers Consultants and ensuring Apprentices/Trainees and Host Employers needs are met.
As OHS consultant, John is also responsible for ensuring the safety of NECA Education and Careers employees, apprentices and trainees across both Victoria and Tasmania.
John has had extensive experience in the electrical industry working as an A grade electrician, then as a field officer for another group training company before joining NECA Education and Careers seven years ago.
John is passionate about creating a safe work culture for employees that will stay with them for the rest of their careers.
Gary Vidler - General Manager Careers - Tasmania
Gary has been with NECA Education and Careers for over 10 years starting in early 2004. Gary's responsibilities as General Manager include overseeing the entire group training operations in the Tasmanian division. Managing a team of staff along with a case load of trainees and apprentices, Gary is in charge of delivering quality skilled trainees and apprentices to businesses.
Gary has been involved in group employment for 13 years, with over 15 years in Human Resources and OH&S, was a mature aged apprentice under group employment, spent many years in the heavy industrial and building related industries and is a Board Director and Board Member on 2 community based organisations. He holds a Diploma in Human Resources, Diploma in Business Management, Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and a Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training.
