As part of the NECA family, NECA Education & Careers is committed to shaping the future of the electrical and communications and aligned industries by equipping electrical pre-apprentices and apprentices, communications and business trainees, and licensed electricians with the skills and insights they need.

Our business structure

As a registered training organisation (RTO), we offer:

  • Electrical pre-apprenticeship qualifications
  • Electrical apprenticeship qualifications
  • Professional development for qualified electricians including:
    • CPD
    • Renewable technologies
    • Business and leadership upskilling, e.g. REC
    • Workplace health and safety

As a group training organisation (GTO), we:

  • Employ and mentor apprentices and trainees
  • Work with partner host organisations to place apprentices and trainees in roles to meet workforce needs

What we do

NECA Education & Careers specialises in providing training and employment pathways to support the electrical and adjacent industries through:

Child safety standards

We ensure all staff operate according to child safety standards for all apprentices, regardless of age. We commit to:

Comprehensive student support

As leaders in youth mentoring and education, we recognise our responsibility to support students through all aspects of life – from schooling and employment to personal challenges.

Mental health training for teachers

All our trade school instructors complete mental health first aid training, equipping them to:

  • Identify when students may be struggling
  • Provide appropriate initial support
  • Connect students with additional resources when needed
Academic support services

Both our Carlton North and Dandenong campuses offer dedicated language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) support officers to assist apprentice students who need extra help with their studies.
