“Being new to the Australian workforce, I knew I wanted to work in an office environment, so I chose to start with a Certificate III and then move on to a Certificate IV in Business.
I felt this was the best option because of the valuable skills it could provide, and the broad knowledge it gave me across finance, operations, human resources, marketing and management.
When I started my traineeship, I didn’t think my level of English was enough to study or work in an office – let alone in a government department. Now I’m proud of what I’ve achieved. I’ve learned to trust myself, stretch beyond what I thought was possible, and I’ve surprised even myself.”
