Be ready to respond when it matters most

Emergencies can happen at any time and in any place and being prepared to respond can mean the difference between life and death. First Aid, CPR and LVR training are crucial skills that can empower individuals to act when required.

The First Aid, CPR and LVR course is a training program designed to equip individuals working in electrical environments, with the skills to provide first aid interventions and respond to both cardiac emergencies and low-voltage electrical hazards.

This course is designed specifically for skilled electrical workers who need to keep their safety capabilities current and comply with on-site expectations.

Course description

The First Aid, CPR and LVR course is a comprehensive and practical training program delivered over 2 days, designed to equip electrical workers with the critical skills and nationally recognised units required to respond confidently in emergency situations.

The course covers the units of competency:

  • HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • UETDRMP018 – Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel
  • HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid

Training in the classroom reflects real-world scenarios to ensure participants are prepared to respond quickly and effectively.

Are you up to date with your First Aid training? We also offer a streamlined 1-day CPR and LVR course for electrical workers who do not require the full First Aid component. Explore the CPR and Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) Course.

Course details

This 2-day face-to-face practical course delivers the critical CPR, Low Voltage Rescue and First Aid competencies required to meet workplace safety obligations and respond quickly and effectively in an emergency.

Day 1:

HLTAID009 – Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Learn how to recognise and respond to cardiac emergencies, perform CPR in line with current Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines, and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) effectively.

UETDRMP018 – Perform rescue from a live low voltage panel

This unit provides the practical skills and safety knowledge required to safely rescue a casualty from a live low voltage (LV) panel. Participants will practice isolation procedures, risk assessment, and rescue techniques in simulated environments.

Day 2:

HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid

Develop the skills and confidence to manage a range of first aid situations, including medical emergencies, injuries, burns, fractures, allergic reactions and more.

Assessment & support

Across both days, participants complete theory assessments and hands-on practical demonstrations through realistic, simulated scenarios.

We’re committed to ensuring every participant achieves competency. Additional support time is available where required, providing extra guidance and practice to help build confidence and capability.
