NECA

The National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) is the peak industry body that represents the best interests of the electrical and communications contracting industry in Australia. It is the only peak body that is run by contractors for contractors. NECA provides its members with a suite of tools and member services to help make their businesses stronger. NECA works with all levels of government to ensure the best interests of the industry are maintained. NECA is the essential business partner for any electrical and communications contractor and will help to make your business stronger.

The Victorian Chapter was the founding Chapter of NECA.  They first opened their doors to members in 1916.  Back then the range of services was very limited, but did represent the interests of contractors. Today, nearly 100 years later, they offer a much more comprehensive range of services to members ranging from OHS, Industrial Relations, Legal Advice and a broad range of exclusive member benefits to save contractors both time and money. And in 2007 they developed the ground breaking EcoSmart Electricians program to help contractors find environmentally friendly solutions for their customers.

NECA are here to promote, safeguard and advance the interests of members and the broader electrical and communications contracting industry. The wide range of services are designed to support members in the development and operation of their businesses and with NECA recognised nationally as the peak industry body their member voices are heard and respected on the issues that affect the industry.
