Terms and Conditions – Refer a Friend Competition

To be in the running, entrants must refer a friend to apply for a traineeship in Business with NECA Education & Careers. The job applicant must be successful for the referrer to be eligible. The traineeship applicants must advise the recruiter of the friend who has
referred them.

Entry is open to current trainees as well as trainees who have successfully completed a traineeship with NECA Education & Careers. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity and contact details) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

Promotion commences 9.00am AEDT on Wednesday 4th August 2021 and ends 4.30pm AEDT on Thursday 4th November 2021. Winners will be the first five (5) referring person(s) of successful Business traineeship applicants. The winner will be contacted by phone and/or email to advise of their prize win. The Promoter will record their contact details so that the prize may be awarded. The Promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The prizes are:

5 x $100.00 VISA Gift Card

The prize value is GST inclusive. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash. If the prize is unclaimed, the promoter will hold onto the prizes up to one month after the winner is announced.

If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.

The Promoter does not accept any responsibility for any tax implications. Independent financial advice should be sought.

The information participants provide will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting this promotion. The Promoter may disclose entrants’ personal information to its contractors and agents to assist in conducting this promotion it communicating with entrants and to state lottery departments and winner’s names may be published as required under the relevant legislation. Entry is conditional on providing this information. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. The Promoter is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988. Entrants can request access to information the Promoter holds about them and obtain a copy of the Promoter’s privacy policy contained in their induction pack. All entries become the property of the Promoter.

Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Careers)

Applicable for tuition fees on or after 01/10/2018

NECA Education & Careers reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of the applicant (eligibility details and selection criteria) and to disqualify any applicant who submits an application that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the application process. Failure by NECA Education & Careers to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

A zero (0) tuition fee for the Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Careers Start) is only applicable under the following terms:

The applicant:

Meets the Skills First funding eligibility
Meets NECA Education & Careers Selection Criteria

NECA Education & Careers reserves the right to refuse free tuition for the Certificate II in Electrotechnology.

Conditions

NECA Education & Careers reserves the right to modify, cancel and limit any training, service or promotion. We reserve the right to refuse applicants for any reason. Paying the deposit for one training course allows one person to access the training course. Courses are not transferable. By accepting registration terms and conditions, you are warranting that you are the person enrolling to complete the course.

Termination

If this offer is interfered with in any way or cannot be conducted as anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of NECA Education & Careers, NECA Education & Careers reserves the right, in our sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law:

(a) to disqualify any application and the applicant forfeits their deposit ; or
(b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the offer, as appropriate.

Modification of Terms and Conditions

NECA Education & Careers reserves the right to update and change the terms and conditions from time to time without notice. Any alterations to products or services shall be subject to the terms and conditions. Continued use of a product or service after any such changes shall constitute consent to such changes.

NECA Members Tuition Fee Reduction

Applicable for tuition fees on or after 01/07/2018

NECA Education & Careers reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of membership (including a business membership status with NECA Victoria and contact details) and to disqualify any applicant who submits an application that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the application process. Failure by NECA Education & Careers to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

A reduction of 5% is only applicable under the following terms:

Qualification

Enrolled into Certificate III in Electrotechnology, Certificate IV in Project Management Practice or Diploma of Project Management
The reduction is only applicable to the tuition fee invoiced
The student’s employer must be a financial member of NECA Victoria at the time that the tuition fees are invoiced.
The student’s tuition fees must be paid in full by the due date(s), by either the student or their employer.
Where the invoice specifies that the tuition fees are to be paid in instalments, the reduction will be applied at the time of payment of the instalment subject to all other terms and conditions being met.
The reduction is not available if a student elects to pay their fees under a payment plan.

Short course (not including tutorials & Course in New Energy Technology Systems)

The student or employer must be a financial member of NECA Victoria at the time that the tuition fees are paid through our website (NECA member login) or when invoiced.
The reduction is not available if a student or employer elects to pay their fees under a payment plan.
