Philippa Jerram – Recruitment Officer and Careers Administrator
While her current role is different to what she has done before, these jobs prepared Philippa for the day-to-day operations at NECA Education & Careers. Over the last few years with us, her role has evolved, adapted and changed with the business’ needs, leading to a deeper love of recruitment and HR functions.
In 2018 Philippa became the recruitment officer for the GTO, and has spent 2019 focusing on recruitment for the Traineeship side of the organisation. While a lot of her time is spent phone screening, interviewing and inducting new trainees into the business, she still finds time to look after the administration side too!
Philippa’s role within NECA Education and Career is as diverse as her hobbies! She looks after the complete life cycle of the traineeship process, the administrative processes that go alongside it, changing processes, as well as jumping in to assist others as needed.
When she’s not working, Philippa could be playing Dungeons and Dragons, power lifting, blogging, reading a book with a nice cup of tea, or even jumping out of a plane.
Speaking about what she loves about working for NECA Education & Careers, Philippa said “what don’t I love?” More specifically, she finds the people fantastic – this is the happiest she has been in a work environment.
While Philippa was looking for her next job, she found that the values of NECA Education & Careers aligned with her own, and she decided the path NECA Education & Careers was on was something she wanted to be a part of.
Philippa’s why is that she believes in giving young people an opportunity to grow and develop in a safe and supportive environment.
