Alex’s background and foray into education aren’t traditional. He started out in the electrical trade before pursuing further qualifications that led to education managerial leadership. He leverages professional development, early experience as an electrician and over 20 years in vocational education to effectively develop and deliver workforce development initiatives and programs for the energy sector.

Alex has also held roles in government, industry advisory boards delivering improvements for industry, organisations, and stakeholders. With a wealth of experience from apprenticeship to new energy training, he will contribute to driving NECA Education and Careers’ outcomes at industry levels through partnering and identifying new learning, upskilling, and innovative workforce development opportunities.

Adult learning, sustainable development and the emerging technologies are his passions.
