Official Launch of WaTT Tasmania

The GTO Team in Tasmania officially launched the Women and Their Trade (WaTT) initiative in April.

The WaTT launch and professional development workshop was an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the program so far and look ahead to what can be achieved.

11 female apprentices employed by NECA Education & Careers as part of the WaTT program joined our staff and program partners for presentations from Madeleine Ogilvie MP, Minister for Small Business, and from Keystone Tasmania.

Engaging guest speaker Robyn Moore elicited laughs and tears from the audience, talking about being strong, empowered and resilient.

With activities to let job seekers try a trade and the expert advice of NECA Education & Careers, we hope attendees were inspired to kick start their careers with apprenticeships or traineeships.
