Your Trainer – John Leijon

John started his career as an engineer, and has over 30 years of experience across manufacturing, I.T., and construction. He has worked on high-end residential renovation projects as the owner and manager of Victoria’s second largest renovation builder. The business specialised in second storey additions, with the challenging initiative of allowing owners to reside in the property throughout the process. Today John works with organisations where project managers are upgrading their skills to stay competitive in demanding project environments. His current projects include the Level Crossing Removal Project, Metro Tunnel Melbourne and Metricon Homes.

Guest Presenters

Michael Purnell brings 17 years of experience in the electrical industry.
He currently holds director and company advisor roles, including a Director of NECA Education & Careers, a NECA National and NECA Victoria Councillor, and advisor to a number of businesses associated with the electrical industry.

Alex McKellar has been in legal practice for 14 years in the field of construction, and a partner for 9 years. He is currently a partner in the HFW Construction team. He advises principals, contractors and suppliers on project delivery risk, dispute avoidance and dispute resolution strategy in complex construction projects.

Ray Buckley has been part of the electrical industry since he started his apprenticeship with Melco Electrics in 1973, and held a number of senior management roles at Kilpatrick Green, Citywide, Nilsen Electric and KLM Group (Programmed Electrical Technologies).
