Challenge your smarts as well as your hand skills as you learn from qualified tradespeople the basics of being an electrician. Completing your pre-app along with our ‘Bright Spark’ skills program will give you the best chance of securing an apprenticeship in this exciting and highly sought-after trade.
Intakes occur all year, so whether you are looking for a career change, finishing year 12 or just finished an awesome gap year travelling, you can start this 12 week course any time of year.
The ‘Bright Spark’ program allows you to demonstrate everything you’ve learnt through your pre-app and apply it in a real life scenario … before you go on site (and it’s free!)
You will also learn additional, highly sought-after practical skills like:
- Reading plans and marking out the electrical installation
- Identifying and ordering products for the job
- Installation and terminate electrical equipment
- Installing cable tray
- Running catenary wire
- Wiring and fitting off socket outlets (power points) and light switches
- Completing quality tests on your installation
You will work through each stage of the project including planning, worksite preparation, roughing in, fitting off and QA testing … all under supervision of course!
At the end of the ‘Bright Spark’ program, you will boost your ‘on the job skills’ and have what employers are looking for!

If you're successful this will be taken off your resources & amenities fee. If unsuccessful, this amount will be refunded to you.
