Duration
An electrical apprenticeship generally takes four years and includes three years of off-the-job studies which is undertaken at a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), such as NECA Education and Careers or a TAFE. During the fourth year of your apprenticeship you will work full time with your employer.
Off-the-job studies can be ‘day release’, which is one chosen day per week or ‘block release’ which is one full week every 5-6 weeks. This is decided in discussion with your employer and chosen RTO.
