We’re not just the ‘run of the mill’ trade school!

Kick start your career with NECA Education & Careers

Trade school (and life) can be tough. Sometimes we need someone we can have a chat with. You will have a mentor (assigned to your class) that will be there throughout your apprenticeship. You can chat about anything from:

  • Career Advice
  • How to get the most out of your time here
  • Working on the job
  • Family/Welfare
  • Finance
  • Health
We get that sometimes you may need a bit of extra help with your school work. That’s why every day from 3.30pm-4pm our teachers are available should you have any questions or require extra support with your school work!

If you’re eager to learn more, then the Upskill Sessions are for you. The Upskill Sessions are workshops to gain a better understanding of particular areas of work, this could aid you in class assessments and potentially licensing 🙂 All our teachers also attend the workshops to ensure they have extensive up-to-date knowledge of the Australian electrical system that we connect to.

NECA Education & Careers is the only Victorian Registered Training Organisation that is electrical industry owned and operated. This allows for input into curriculum ensuring you are industry ready.

Visit the National Electrical and Communication Association for information on the industry.

Recognition of Prior Learning is an assessment process that involves assessment of an individual’s relevant prior learning (including formal, informal and non-formal learning) to determine the credit outcomes of an individual application for credit. Credit outcomes may allow for entry into a qualification and/or provide credit towards the qualification.

In line with national regulations, NECA Education and Careers recognises qualifications and statements of attainment issued by other RTOs. Please ensure you notify staff during the enrolment process and prior to payment being processed that you believe you might be eligible for either recognition of qualifications or statements of attainment issued by other RTOs. Recognition may result in reduction in course fees and course duration.

RPL involves undertaking an assessment of an individual who applies to determine the extent to which that individual’s previous learning is equivalent to the learning outcomes of the components of the destination qualification
